Creamy banana milkshake topped with whipped cream and banana slices in a tall glass, with bananas and milk in the background.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas, ripe

  • 4 tbsp vanilla ice cream
Optional toppings
  • Whipped cream
  • Banana slices
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Crushed nuts

  • Add everything to a blender and blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  • Pour into glasses.
  • Top with whipped cream, banana slices, cinnamon, or crushed nuts if desired.
  • Serve immediately. Bon appétit.

Kitchen Tools:

Notes:

From the kitchen
  • Use cold milk for the best texture.
  • Add a few ice cubes if you want an extra-chilled shake.
  • If using frozen banana slices, skip the ice since frozen bananas already make the shake thick and cold.

Make it yours
  • Use 3 tablespoons ice cream for a lighter shake.
  • Add 1 extra tablespoon for extra creaminess.
  • Try a drizzle of honey, a pinch of cinnamon, or a spoon of peanut butter for a fun twist.
  • Whole milk gives the creamiest shake, but 2% also works well. You can swap in almond, oat, or lactose-free milk if needed. Texture may vary.

At the table
  • Serve right away while cold and creamy, on its own or alongside breakfast, brunch, or a simple snack plate.
