A creamy butter mashed potatoes in a bowl.

Ingredients:

  • 6 potatoes, medium, peeled & chopped
  • 1 cup milk, 2%, warmed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tbsp salt

Method:

Start Cooking
  • Place the potatoes in a steamer basket and steam until very soft, about 20 -25 minutes.
  • Transfer the hot potatoes to a large glass or porcelain bowl.
  • Add the butter, warmed milk, and salt.
  • Mash until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve warm. Bon appétit.

  • You can steam, boil, or roast the potatoes. Any method works as long as they’re very soft.
  • Mash the potatoes while they are hot for the smoothest texture.
  • A potato masher works best, but a sturdy fork is just fine.
  • You can use any milk you like.
