Ingredients:

  • 1 lb plain yogurt, whole milk or low-fat
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • ½ tsp salt

Method:

Start Cooking
  • Add yogurt, garlic, and salt to a bowl and mix well. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate. You can also mix and store it directly in the yogurt container if there’s space.
  • Refrigerate for at least 15–20 minutes to let flavors blend.
  • Serve cold. Bon appétit.

  • Garlic yogurt is a quiet staple in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern home cooking - a simple combination of yogurt and fresh garlic used to balance rich dishes and brighten vegetables. It’s one of those everyday sauces that doesn’t need much, just good yogurt and fresh garlic.
  • Store in a sealed glass or porcelain container in the fridge to keep it fresh and prevent garlic odors or no extra bowl needed, mix and store it right in the yogurt container.

  • Add a drizzle of olive oil for richness.
  • Add lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon for brightness.
  • Use thick Greek yogurt for a richer texture.
