Burger bowl with seasoned ground beef, shredded cheese, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, pickles, avocado, and creamy burger sauce, served with fries on the side.

Ingredients:

For the Beef
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
For the Burger Sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice
  • Optional spices, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
For the Bowls
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup sliced pickles
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • French fries, for serving, optional

Method:

Start Cooking
Cook the Beef
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spoon.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Cook for about 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
Make the Sauce
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice until smooth.
  • If desired, add a pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika for extra flavor. Set aside.
Prepare the Bowls
  • Divide the chopped romaine lettuce between serving bowls.
  • Top with cooked ground beef, cherry tomatoes, sliced pickles, red onion, and shredded cheese.
Finish and Serve
  • Drizzle the burger sauce over the bowls or serve it on the side.
  • Add fries on top or on the side if desired. Bon appétit.

Notes:

From the kitchen
  • Use 80/20 ground beef for the best flavor and juiciness.
  • Let the beef brown well before stirring to develop deeper flavor.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken.
  • Use burger seasoning instead of individual spices if you prefer.

Make it yours
  • Use any greens mix instead of romaine such as iceberg, arugula, or spring mix.
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or American cheese.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or peppers for extra flavor.
  • Add caramelized onions: cook sliced onions in a little olive oil with a pinch of salt over medium-low heat for 10–15 minutes until golden.
  • Add avocado slices for extra creaminess.
  • Top the bowl with crispy fries for a fun cheeseburger-and-fries bowl.
